Triple Berry Shortcake

Wild Harvest Organic Raw Cane Sugar, divided

baking powder

cold Wild Harvest Organic Unsalted Butter, divided
|
|

Wild Harvest Organic Half and Half

(10 ounce) Wild Harvest Frozen Organic Berry Blend
|
|
1/4 |
cup |
fresh squeezed orange juice
|
|

teaspoon |
orange zest

whipped cream, optional

Directions:
In medium bowl, combine flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, baking powder and salt. Using a pastry blender or two forks, cut 2 tablespoons butter into flour mixture until pebble size. Stir in half and half until combined, adding a little more if needed.
Divide dough into 4 and drop onto a greased baking sheet. Melt remaining butter; brush over biscuits. Bake in a preheated 450 degree F oven 12-15 minutes or until browned.
Meanwhile, in medium saucepan over medium heat, combine berries, remaining 1/4 cup sugar, orange juice and orange zest. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently; boil 10 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently.
Place biscuits on serving dish, top with berries and whipped cream, if desired.
